The point: youth
Jesus came at our breaking point, to make it a turning point, so that He could be the focal point. That is the Point! The Point Youth Ministries at Desperation Church are designed to help those from 6th grade to 12th grade seek to become like Christ, while connecting more deeply with Him, with their families, friends, and the broader church body.

The Point Resources
The Point Student Ministries is dedicated to discipling and training up the next generation to know Christ personally and make Him known throughout the community and world. We believe this is done through study of God’s word, prayer, and time together in Christian community, alongside living it out daily by walking through life’s journey.
Below you will find resources and links to what we are studying as a youth group. These are here to be referenced and as review to help equip and reinforce our lessons.
Currently we are studying the bible together as a group. Students have been challenged to read the Bible in a year. The Read Scripture Application has been recommended to help manage a yearly reading plan. You can find links to the Read Scripture App FAQ here, and in the below resources.
We are also incorporating the use of videos from the Bible Project to engage and illustrate additional context to the scriptures we discuss in class.

zach & beth beeler
DC Youth ministry is led by Zach and Beth Beeler. Zach and Beth are both originally from Indianola, IA. They began their journey together in high school band playing saxophone and married in 2006 while in college in the Twin Cities, MN. While in the cities, Zach received a degree in Music Production.
Zach has always experienced music as a means of connecting with God. Zach is passionate about all aspects of music and teaching others through music. Beth received a degree in Elementary/Middle School Education. She is passionate about helping children discover who God created them to be, and being able to encourage and teach them along their journeys.
In 2010, God brought them to the Liberty area. Since then they have had 4 children (Jude, Micah, Seth & Jaeda). Being parents has taught them so much about the Father’s unconditional love, and they delight in watching them grow into the individuals God created them each uniquely to be.
Together Zach and Beth are passionate about discipling and training up the next generation to know Christ personally and make Him known throughout the community and world. They believe this is done through study of God’s word, prayer, and time together in Christian community, alongside living it out daily by walking through life’s journey.
